Mr D
Old skool Dj who believe’s in Playing Reggae music how it was crafted and pass down by our forefathers with no compromise. “Style a style pattern a pattern”.
My mission is to convey the positive message reggae music delivers which is about social injustice and positive cultural uplifting vibrations internationally.
As a young boy growing up in West Bromwich England in the 60’s the vocals of Prince Buster,Derrick Morgan,Toots & The Maytals, Justin Hinds &The Dominoes. Alton Ellis.
Too many to mention. Sent me on a musical journey which I’m still traveling on.
Then Came the unforgettable 70’s. The advent of Roots and Culture. The wailers Twinkle Brothers, Fred Locks, Pablo Moses.Again too many to mention. Now this is when I found myself culturally spiritually. You can blame producers like Coxsone Dodd,Lee “Scratch Perry” King Tubby,Bunny Lee. And Channel One. The production’s from these people are just mind blowing the artist’s they produced have been highly influential internationally even to this day. And the influence reggae has on other music genre speaks for itself.
So my mission keep promoting Jah Jah music as it was passed Down to us just as the Ten Commandments were to Moses….selah
